Makenzie's First Birthday - Luau Style

I can't believe it has already been a year. In some ways it seems like we just brought her home, but I also can't remember what life was like without her as part of our family. We are really enjoying getting to know Ms. Makenzie and she does bring Joy to our lives everyday. Here are some pictures from her luau birthday. We celebrated with Jean and Dave, Grandma, Rae and the Davis family, including Angela's niece Sierra.
Makenzie wasn't too sure about the cake - I don't think she liked having her hands messy and preferred to eat it with a spoon. We gave her a new playhouse to play in which she loves, climbs in and out, in and out. And loves to open and close the door.
The luau was Abbie's idea and we had fun putting the party together. She helped with the cake, decorations, and preformed a hula dance for the party guests.
